JatoBhakti
A little about my journey ...
I started my life's journey as a dancer in Brasil, where I was born. I studied Classical Ballet, Modern dance and Theater. I came to New York in 1991 at at the age of 21 with the dreams of becoming a famous and accomplished dancer.
My first step was when I created La Luna, Company of Movements. With my friend Marcelo Coutinho, we choreographed and presented our own dance works with portraits of human behavior, emotionally and spiritually.
Yoga for Peace 2009

Even at that time, Yoga was part of my training, but more for physical benefits. But it started to influence my spiritual nature. As a result, I learned more about myself. I studied at the he Ohashi Institute where I learned Ohashiatsu, a nurturing method of healing touch that relaxes yet energises; relieves tension, stiffness and fatigue; and strengthens health of body, mind and spirit. I graduated the program in 1998.
My emotions through dance provided me a need to go deep into the understanding of my real self. I went to India to take the teachers training course of Yoga at The Sivananda Ashram where I had a vision of starting my own practice in my homeland in Brasil. This vision became my mission. Since November 1999, I've been developing a practice at the JTP, where we teach classes and provide programs on Yoga and Holistic Health.
Those who inspired me on this road:
Swami Sivananda, Swami Vishnu Devananda, Wataru Ohashi, Shizuto Massunaga, Yogi Bajan, Don Conreuux, Osho, Cindy Lee , Shiva Rea, Gurunan, Scott Blossom, Chandra Easton , Robert Svoboda, Krishna Dass, Dharma Mittra and all my students wich I learned so much from
In 2004 I started practicing Kundalini Yoga wich inspired me to take the Kundalini Yoga teacher´s training with the 3H0 Brasil.
Now, I can say that Yoga is my way of living, and this doesn't mean that I stand on my head all day and chant. It is truly is about seeing God everywhere and knowing that our natural state is love, peace and happiness.

In january 22, 2002 was born Anthony Krishna wich brought me and Home Yoga to a deeper understand of love and life, today I feel that he is been my Guru.
